Posted on May 31, 2020 by Smitty Reply Captain Mary thought I was ready for a stage ride with Captain Mike. For some reason, I was more nervous about this lesson than previous ones. Captain Mike is very laid back and knowledgeable so it wasn’t him that made me nervous. I think it was due to it feeling like a test instead of just learning. I hoped that when we got in the plane the nerves would settle, but they didn’t. I taxied out to the run-up location and went through the checklist. We then talked about what we would be doing for the lesson. I began to taxi out and headed down the runway. I lifted off and started to climb, then banked Northwest to head to the training area. I told Mike that I was going to level off at 2400ft. Once I got up there, I ended up trimming out at 2500 and was ok with that. Mike pointed out |
